iPod Touch 32 GB got wet, heres story what can I do?

I had my new iPod Touch 32 GB inside the side pocket of my son’s diaper bag, his milk cuppy inside spilled a little and the bottom where I plug it in for charging and updating got damp, and so did the earphone jack outlet….I put it in a sealed bag of rice almost immediately after I found out what happened(within minutes) and left it that way for 2 days…..now, it turns on, BUT the touch screen doesn’t work and neither does the backlight…I hooked it up to my pc(1 FULL WEEK LATER) and hit to factory restore it(4000+ songs GONE!!!!) and the touch screen and backlight still aren’t working…What should I do now? Spend another $300 to replace it or go to apple store and see if they can fix it???

Ooooooooohh, that sucks. =/ My friend’s iPod Touch got thrown into a pool. the Touch didn’t work for 3 months (Mind you, he had the same issues you did.) & it worked magically out of the blue. Someone else’s did that too. I say wait & see.. ? But if your looking for some “right now action”, I’d say go to Apple or any stores that can fix iPods & see if they can fix it. If they can, that’s great ! If they can’t, & you REALLY want a Touch, I’d say buy another one. Or if you have a warranty on it, I think they can replace it for free. Only if you have a warranty.
